Dru Yoga

Suzanna Thell

Suzanna in butterfly pose.jpg

With a background as a school teacher, Suzanna became curious about how yoga, breathwork and meditation could support the wellbeing of children. This passion led her to establish a business, The Yoga Garden, through which Suzanna shared yoga with thousands of young people over the past 20 years. She is the author of the children’s yoga picture book Deer-lightful, which features Dru Yoga’s signature Energy Block Release sequence (EBR1).

The story gently explores the awakening of the light within as we journey with Deer on his search for happiness. As a Level 3 Yoga Australia–accredited teacher, and a senior tutor with Dru Yoga, Suzanna teaches on the Dru Yoga teacher training courses and leads the Dru Kids and Teens postgraduate training. This work is especially close to Suzanna's heart, empowering educators to equip young people with the tools to become conscious, compassionate future leaders.

What I am teaching at Yoga Day - Sydney

Awaken Your Inner Light: A Dru Yoga Journey Through Story & the Koshas

Inspired by Suzanna's children’s yoga picture book Deer-lightful, this experiential session weaves storytelling with Dru Yoga’s foundational Energy Block Release sequence (EBR1).

Guided through the language of the koshas, participants will journey layer by layer — from body and breath to awareness, inner wisdom and sweet connection.

This is an invitation to rediscover the light within through movement, imagination and deep presence.
