Sophia Tilley Yoga, Wellness and Meditation

Sophia brings a wealth of experience to every class. Yoga and meditation have been a part of Sophia’s life for over 20 years after her parents came home from a Deepak Chopra yoga & meditation retreat when she was eight and invited meditation and yoga into the daily routine over the holidays. She began her adult practice 10 years ago with Power Living and believes yoga has helped her grow stronger, more flexible and fearless, both on and off the mat. Learning yoga inspires people to be present in each second and live each moment more mindfully.

Sophia has completed 700 hours of Yoga Teacher Training Beginning at Body Mind Life in 2017 then focusing on Philosophy & Sequencing and has since completed 25 hours of Kids Yoga Training through Zenergy. As well as Mindful Birth Yoga Training at Elixr.

Sophia has just completed another 300 hours of Soulful Wellness Yoga Training with Shiva Rea, the founder of Vinyasa Flow Yoga. This magical training really helps to expand your sadhana practise into your every day life taking your practise off the mat.

After exploring meditation through yoga for years Sophia decided to deepen her meditation practice and is a trained Kindred Meditation Facilitator and following that journeyed to live in a Hare Krishna Temple for 11 months studying Vedic Philosophy.

Most recently Sophia has completed her Kundalini Tantra Yoga Training with Nirvana Yoga Shala, Rishikesh, India. Kundalini is a very different style which is physically more gentle but energetically much more powerful, energising and leads to awakening of dormant energy​.

What I am teaching at Yoga Day - Sydney

Flow and Release

In this class you will work to open your hips which can remove pain and trauma often stored in this region. As you massage into the areas with the poses and with your breath you will gently re-pattern old samskaras stored in your tissues to release and reset leaving you feeling renewed and rejuvenated.


The class will be followed by Savasana meditation & gentle breathwork take aways.
